My Notes

This is a large, five-bedroom, 5,311 SF home with 180º views of the Carmel Bay, Point Lobos and the south Carmel Valley mountains. A double door entrance leads into the high ceiling living room. A slate hallway leads to the wet bar and wine cellar. The flooring has some hardwood but is mostly wall-to-wall carpeting. The formal dining room has a 6-foot round glass table that seats eight and the adjacent family room has a 5-foot round glass table that seats six. The U-shaped kitchen that separates the formal and family dining rooms has dramatic ocean and mountain views. The Master Suite also has panoramic views, 3 large closets and linen storage, separate vanities & sinks, separated shower and tub, and an adjoining spa and exercise room.
The house was painted inside and out in 2010, a new roof was installed in 2011, solar panels with a PG&E Net Energy Meter were added in 2013 and drought resistant landscaping was added in 2013.
Another guest bath is in the hall. The large second guest bedroom has a separate reading and sunroom with a private entrance to a full bathroom. Third bedroom upstairs used as large home office where elevator door connects to the downstairs guest apartment previously used as home for elderly family member and live-in caregiver.
The elevator-connected, 1500 SF, two-bedroom apartment has full kitchen, large living room, larger master bedroom, guest bedroom, handicapped bathroom and large walk in wheel chair shower. This private, soundproof apartment has its own entrances, driveway, alarm system.
The furnishings were designed for the home and were fabricated by hand. The curved furniture and glass dining and coffee tables create a contemporary soft and transparent ambiance. The extensive walls accommodate large prints and paintings. Both the furnishings and art collection can be included.

What I love about the home

The most unique features of this home are its spectacular views, spacious deck and home elevator to the lower apartment that has two bedrooms, full kitchen and living room, handicap bathroom and shower, private drive and entrances. There are also a basement and hatch storage areas with a handyman/gardener bathroom and private entrance and exit through the garden shed. This connected but very private and sound-proof apartment has a multitude of uses, such accommodations for an elderly family member and caregiver, a private children's quarters, a guest house, a maid or gardener quarters or a rental apartment. Because the house is situated at the top of Carmel Views on a dead end street, it has spectacular panorama vistas of Point Lobos and Carmel Bay in a neighborhood that is quiet, private and secure.
