Renovations to the original white clapboard carriage house began just after WWII by the Heidt family. The carriage house became a two story, side-by-side duplex. A second bedroom and a large full bath complete the second floor. The 2 car garage is two side by side independent stalls with their own garage doors. Between the separate garage stalls is a keyed doorway that leads to a staircase to loft storage spanning over both stalls. The Barn is a separate building. The stall - that has a double barn doorway, opens to the street and can be used as additional garage space. Above in the barn stall is the former hay loft now being used as the artist loft. Access to the loft is off the large 4 car driveway. Mind your step - the brownstone step is time-worn. The front yard has mature trees, with perennial gardens that frame the yard. Brick paths and islands of ivy around the dogwood trees give a feel of a country estate. Some - building -Construction Info - The roof was replaced in 2000. Owners' Unit Furnace replaced in 2009. The exterior is wood clapboard. Wood double-hung windows with storm windows & screens. Taxes: 2012 - $11435.45 (from Essex County public records) The property is approx. .32 acre.
