The neighborhood itself is very quiet and consists of a mix of young families to the elderly with very little crime. The neighborhood is located halfway between Old Town Pasadena and Santa Anita Mall in Arcadia. The Sierra Madre Villa Gold Line light rail station and bus depot is located within 2 blocks. Victory Park, a new dog park, the Hastings Ranch library, a golf course, movie theater, restaurants, shopping and fitness clubs are all within walking distance or a very short drive. Most necessary stores are within only a few blocks with a large shopping center located directly across the street.
