Our basement is also DRY (even after Hurricane Irene).We also love the overall layout of our house. We have enough places to go, that some can sleep soundly without interference from talking, TV, or entertaining. Sound doesnt seem to travel. We also love our hardwood floors.Our bathrooms have been completely redone the main hall bath has beautiful granite counters and a heated floor! We love having a full bathroom in the lower level where the play and tv areas are.We love that we have a spacious yard and are set way back from the road. It is quiet and very private, especially when the trees are in bloom. We have loved using our patio to entertain, eat outside, etc. There is plenty of room to play outside and be nowhere near the road.One of the benefits of being on Black Rock Turnpike is that we are one of the first streets plowed and we rarely lose power. If we do lose power it comes back on before everyone elses (i.e. Hurricane Irene).
