My Notes

Amazing true log home on picturesque 10.3 acre setting overlooking a pond. This log home was designed by KC Tarp, Norman Architect and is not a log home kit but rather a full-log home. The logs were trucked in from Bridger Mountain in Bellgrade, Montana. It is constructed from lodge pole pines that are full round 8' logs. Log home made with settling adjusters but logs were sufficiently dried and have never needed adjusting. Slab has special lining and walls on first level have moisture barrier. French drain on perimeter of foundation. The interior doors are 1-3/4 solid heavy doors with 3 hinges each and floors are no squeak constructed with sound proof screws. Beautiful wood double pane windows. The main floor includes living room, formal dining room, kitchen and eating area, master bed and bath, 1/2 bath. Upstairs is 2 bedrooms, bath, and small loft study with closet. Lower level is large family room, full bath, laundry and 2 bedrooms/offices. Walk-in storage closet under stairs. Approximately 3100 total square feet. The lower level has two earthen sides for tornado protection and 9" poured concrete. Granite countertops in kitchen and ceramic tile backsplashes. Built-in refrigerator with pine covered doors, double ovens (top oven is convection) and propane gas cooktop. Stainless steel sink and faucet. Canned lighting in kitchen. Two large screened porches and patio/balcony overlooking the pond area. Five frost proof water hydrants on property. Property is entirely fenced with hog wire. Fantastic two story Cleary building/shop, approx. 1900 sf, insulated, has electrical and water and concrete floor and upstairs storage. Three car garage (3rd car is enclosed and insulated and has 220 for a workshop). There is a hot tub outside of screen porch. Some fruit trees in orchard. Additional 2 acres negotiable. Water well. Hot water heater, furnace and fireplace starter run on propane. Propane tank leased and is above ground. There are 2 air conditioners and 2 furnaces.

What I love about the home

Beautiful view of the night sky via big windows on the main floor.
