My Notes

This is a great property only 1/2 mile off of Hwy 180 for an easy commute to the valley. Built in 1980, this 2 - story home has over 2,600 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths and is sited on a fully useable 5 acres. Sited well back from the road, the home has excellent privacy from neighboring properties. This isn't your average home... you'll find it has a load of special features that start off with all brick and wood construction plus a truly unique brick turret entry feature with inlayed slate sunburst design. Sound interesting- Read on for more info...The chandeliered entry with leaded glass front door and mosaic tile floor inlay is your portal to a gorgeous step down living room with a massive rock wall fireplace and rock side planters or to the huge country style kitchen. All of the ground level floors are classic oversize white tile. Off the kitchen, you will find a huge formal dining room that will handle the largest of tables with plenty of room for hutches and cabinets. Also adjacent to the kitchen are two pantry areas and a terrific utility room with plenty of storage plus a bath with shower. The kitchen has a ton of counter space with neat granite tile, double ovens, and an informal eating area with double French doors to a covered rock patio. A tiled and custom carpet stairway with a glass block banister at the top takes you up to the second floor. The upper level of the entry turret provides a great space for an office and there are three huge bedrooms with two baths. Each of the bedrooms has a tiled balcony patio. The home has dual HVAC units for each level, a lifetime metal roof, and an alarm system. Now for the outside...Adjacent to the utility/kitchen entry, you have a large two car drive-thru carport. In back, off the kitchen, is a neat covered rock patio framed with large oaks and some great rock outcroppings. Farther back in the property is a large drive-through workshop. There is also a nice basketball court and horseshoe pits. At the west side of the home there is a second 12x40 shop/storage building. The land is fully accessible and useable... it is fenced and cross-fenced with excellent terrain and has a great 20gpm well. You can let your imagination run wild with all of the possibilities.How about the downsides- As always we let you know about any negative features and, as always, there are some. The drivway off the main road leading to the property is about 1/4 mile and is graveled. It is a bit rough in places but is does discourage casual driveby's. The home was built in 1980. It is in very good condition but is a bit dated, the bathrooms in particular. The frontage is all in board fencing but does need some minor repairs. At one time, the landscaping was great but now is very sparse and will need some renovation. Just call it a clean canvas for your own special ideas. And the property needs some general sprucing up. That's about it for negatives.And there you have it... a really unique custom residence only 1/2 mile from Hwy 180 and loaded with charm and unlimited possibilities.
