A great home w/ original detail throughout located on East Street in the heart of downtown Ipswich. Tons of natural light pours through this historic home. River views off the kitchen and back deck. Pumpkin pine flooring in both bedrooms, large closet in master bedroom. New natural gas furnace and hot water tank. Dry basement with walk-out to back yard. Wood stove insert in original brick fireplace. Exposed original beams, gorgeous wood paneling and lots more detail. Two beautiful built-ins in living room and one in the dining. Garage possibilities in back. A wonderful starter home with expansion possibilities to grow into as needed or a great condo alternative. Easy to maintain, close to downtown Ipswich, MBTA, EBSCO, Town Wharf for Boating, Crane Beach and lots more. Offers to be received by 12pm on Wednesday, March 4th. 

What I love about the home

Walking access to town, the library, access to the river, proximity to the beach, great quiet yard, great wood stove, incredibly cheap water, electric and heating bills, short driveway (easy to shovel), and perennial flowers. The view from the deck is wonderful and you can see the Ipswich River as you have your breakfast outside. We love using the outdoor shower, especially after the beach. We're far enough away from the marsh to not have greenheads in the summer, but we can still see the river. The CSA fish share from Gloucester that we pick up in Appleton is outstanding as well as all of the organic farms in the area. Within the house, we love the open architecture of the downstairs, it makes it great if you want to entertain.
