My Notes

This house is a Craftsman through and through with gleaming wood work in the first floor. Updated flooring has been placed in the dining room, bathrooms, and attic. A new half bath has been added to the main floor for convenience. The main bathroom has been gutted of its original plaster and new drywall and paint have been added as well as tile. The attic has been refurbished to become the new spacious master bedroom complete with its own walk in closet. A deck was added just over a year ago in 2012. A new furnace was purchased in 2010 along with a new electric panel and a new roof was put on in 2013.

Neighborhood: Middlebury

Zillow predicts Middlebury home values will rise 3.2% next year, compared to a 3.4% rise for Akron as a whole. Among Middlebury homes, this home is valued 33.6% more than the midpoint (median) home, but is valued 31% less per square foot.

Foreclosures will be a factor impacting home values in the next several years. In the Middlebury market, the number of foreclosures waiting to be sold fell 17.1% in the last year. The number of unsold foreclosures is 11.3% less than in Akron, and 98.5% higher than the national average. This lower local number could help Middlebury home values rise more quickly than other regions in Akron.
