My Notes

Edit
Beautiful Second Empire style single in the heart of West Mt. Airy with slate shingle mansard roof. This home has undergone a total makeover on this owners watch. Renovations included: Heat pump/Ac on 2nd & 3rd, 3rd Floor Master Suite, Renovation of 2nd floor front bedroom, New hall bath and closets on 2nd, Update of all electrical, New bath on 2nd floor, Renovation of LR, DR, Kitchen, FR with roof raised on FR, New roofs all around, Concrete driveway, Flagstone patio, American Basements System drain and pump, hardwood floors. Old world charm has been preserved while bringing all the modern conveniences. The combo family room/breakfast room has vaulted ceilings, a fireplace and lots of windows. A large flagstone patio highlights a wonderfully secluded back yard that will have you feeling a world away from the busy city. Just a four minute walk to the train or the Allens Lane Art Center. The wonderful architecture of the French Village and the hiking trails of Fairmount Park are just across the street.

What I love about the home

When we renovated the house, we designed it around how families spend time together. The kitchen and family room, along with the slate patio, lend themselves to great times together with families and friends. For major holidays, the more formal living room and dining room provide great additional space. The yard is very manageable and we have great landscaping that truly can be enjoyed three seasons out of the year. The third floor is a wonderful master suite or the perfect place for out of town guests. Again, the focus of the renovation was bringing family and friends together.
