My apartments have been modernized with easy-to-clean smooth-top ceramic cooktops, built-in microwave ovens, newer ovens with electronic controls, remote-controled ceiling fans in each bedroom, and many other features not commonly found in apartments such as whole-house ventilator fans. There is also new plush carpeting throughout and a private patio. Also consider that with the building's new double-pane insulated windows, new furnaces, and three ceiling fans, the monthly utility costs will be reduced.
I believe an additional advantage to you will be the quiet, well maintained environment of a small 20 unit owner-managed property in a neighborhood which is quiet, yet is close to attractions like Barnes & Noble, Santana Row, Westfield/Valley Fair, and has good freeway access.
