This is a fantastic opportunity to build your dream home on a large, clear lot in the heart of Evergreen Park area of Palo Alto, close to the California Avenue business district. It is within blocks of a Cal Train station, Mollie Stone's, Peers Park and Stanford, but its central location minimizes train and traffic noise. The property is located in a quiet, highly desirable neighborhood with low turnover, very little through traffic due to traffic barricades on many streets, lovely parks, and a great neighborhood feel. Per Palo Alto Unified School District website, schools are Escondido Elementary, Jordan Middle School and Palo Alto High. Interested buyers are to confirm attendance eligibility with the school district. The house itself is a charming bungalow built in 1918, with 2 bedrooms, a good sized living room/dining room with fireplace, an entry room (possibly once a closed in porch) with lots of windows. The kitchen and bath are fairly original but conceivably could be redone to make a very cute home on a large lot with the potential to build a new home later if desired. City says new construction up to 3000 sq. ft. is possible. This does not include basement. The property is not in a flood zone, according to the Parcel Report provided by the city.
