Neighborhood Description
This is a GREAT location for convenience to downtown Seattle, the Seattle Center, Queen Anne, and the Ballard/Fremont areas of the city. Burke-Gilman Trail is just across the Ballard Bridge. Elliott Bay Trail access is just a few blocks to the SW. Two blocks away, the connection between Canal Trail and Fisherman's Terminal soon to be completed. Interbay Athletic field and Golf Course are within a few blocks also. Discovery Park, Golden Gardens Park, and the Ballard Locks are all nearby. Access to four bus routes within two blocks.

What I love about the home

Skylights, clerestory windows, and vaulted ceilings make this unit feel twice the size of the same units on the floors below. Very open, airy feel with lots of light. Master bedroom is larger than most condos of similar square footage. Loft above kitchen could easily be revamped for even more useable space. Great view of the canal, Fisherman's Terminal, Ballard, and partial Olympics.

Market guide

Zillow predicts North Queen Anne home values will rise 4.8% next year, compared to a 4.8% increase for Seattle as a whole. Among North Queen Anne homes, this home is valued 47.4% less than the midpoint (median) home, and is valued 47.6% less per square foot.

Foreclosures will be a factor impacting home values in the next several years. In North Queen Anne, the number of foreclosures waiting to be sold is 4.4% higher than in Seattle, and 21.2% less than the national average. This higher local number may prevent North Queen Anne home values from rising as quickly as other regions in Seattle.
