This home is one of the rare finds that borders on a National Wildlife Refuge. You have privacy to enjoy the view in your pajamas or whatever you are comfortable in! Run from the house to the hot tub in the breezy winter. Granite counters in kitchen, baths. Hall bath updated with new tile, floor, etc. New pergola with transparent solar cover (2009). Pergola over patio (may be perfect for grapes or wisteria). New carpet (2005), newer stove, microwave, new paint. Sprinkler system in back, hot tub. Large 2 car garage. Friendly neighbors, schools and shopping near by. Walking distance to parks. Fire hydrant across street may mean lower homeowner's insurance payment. Safe, quiet neighborhood.
Neighborhood Description
Newark's has 2 highly desirable neighborhoods. Our neighborhood is the more convenient of the two and is known for being friendly and clean. Most of our neighbors work in high tech or biotechnology. We are surrounded by schools and are close to shopping, gyms, and other amenities. There is easy access to the Dumbarton Bridge and I-880 and this area is an easy commute to San Francisco by BART. There is so much to do nearby for people who love hiking and outdoor activities! Or, for those who prefer a slower pace, our neighborhood has a lot of people who enjoy walking and riding bikes.

What I love about the home

We love our home and our quiet neighborhood. Our property is private so we can have coffee in our 'jammies while watching the birds and small animals in the nature preserve. We replaced the wood of the original pergola and added a clear smoke-colored solar resistant top. We can now sit outdoors or BBQ all year! Indoors, the house is very feng shui with a lovely open floorplan. The living room has a vaulted ceiling that adds drama. The fireplace has an insert and is very romantic. We have a fruit-bearing full-grown golden plum tree and have younger fruit trees/bushes including the sweetest nectarines we have ever tasted. It is fun the sit in the hottub and watch the stars at night.
