My Notes

Edit
This unique cabin has a large lot, outside storage building, front porch, back porch and large deck off the upstairs master that is the carport below. The views are indescribable which is why there are so many outdoor photos. The canoe outfitters have a "take out" just around the bend so you will often see them coming by while sitting on the back porch. The river itself is ever changing and fascinating in itself. There are two large decks connected with a swing bridge. These areas are excellent for group gatherings or grilling or more. There is a large fire pit along with a storm shelter. A split rail fence surrounds the property. It is currently an income producer with a nice rental customer base that has plenty of room to grow. It can easily pay for it's own monthly mortgage. The neighbors are friendly and it's just 20 minutes from town in Broken Bow where there are cute shops and many restaurants. The area is big for tourism, not just for the cabin rentals but the Beavers Bend lake is spectacular and just 40 minutes from Riverdance. There is no building on the lake which makes it's seclusion unparalleled. It's rarely busy at the marina and never packed on the lake considering it's size. The water is so clear you can see your feet treading water. Cliff jumping and scuba diving are just a couple of the many fun activities. The marina has a huge amount of new boats of every size and just about anything else you need for a fun day on the lake.
It's a cozy get-a-way from the big city or for those who just want a quieter, more peaceful way of life. You hear the cows across the river stepping in for a drink, see pairs of bald eagles, wild horses and deer. The area has history and is on the road where the only complete Acrocanthosaurus atokensis dinosaur skeleton was recovered in it's complete skeleton now on display at theMuseum of the Red River Musin in Idabel. That's just one of the many historical interests in the McCurtain County area.

What I love about the home

This is a true all wood cabin. Wood floors, walls ceilings and rafters. There is even a built in wood wet bar and a beautiful stone, wood burning fireplace. The ground floor is wood and carpet begins from the stairs and on the upper floor, including the upstairs bathroom. The master bedroom is so big that there is also a living area large enough for a king sized bed, bedside tables, large dresser, desk, TV stand, couch and loveseat. All included! The larger of the two guest bedrooms are has a king sized bed, bedside table, desk and tall dresser. The other bedroom features two twin beds, side table and desk. Window treatments upstairs as well as lighting has been updated. Both the upstairs and downstairs have had the entire HVAC systems replaced just two months ago. There is a storage closet in the downstairs bath, a hall closet, cabinets over the washer dryer in the utility room and another storage closet under the staircase. The dining room and large hutch are in an open area where you have the same view as the living room. The kitchen features a new glass cooktop and new refrigerator. It's arranged to maximize the space with an open pass through bar to the dining room. Imagine waking up in the morning, taking your coffee on the back porch and watching the finch and squirrels gather their breakfast. This home is special and everyone who stays here is just overcome by the homey feeling it creates.
