Neighborhood Description
The neighbors are wonderful, friendly, and always have a hello or a wave. It's quiet. Neighbors that live here tend to stay here. It's safe and peaceful.
It's close the Junction and shops/shopping, 10 minutes to Seattle and two blocks from a bus stop. A few minutes to Alki, Schmidt Park, Lincoln Park and grocery stores and shopping, yet still in a quiet residential neighborhood.
 

What I love about the home

I love this house because it is unique and private. It's not for everyone because the layout is not cookie cutter but that is one of things we love about it. We kept the first floor open so we could entertain, add a pool table, or accomodate large groups (Thanks giving) for sitdown dinners or parties (easily 25 people) but the yard is great for us too. ....... The double city lot is much larger in the back because the house is situated right up to the corner of the property. We met the grandchildren of the original owner and they told us that their grandfather, Modesto, built this house there because he grew vegetables and sold them at the farmers market. There was a lot of love and laughter in this house and it made us love it even more. Mature trees and shrubs surround the yard with a large deck and patio creating a private park-like setting. We recycled the old chimney bricks and used the them for a pathway through the side yard.
