Monterey, $1800/month, 2 bed 1.5 bath townhome; available May 1
This three-story lovely townhome, two bedrooms, 1 and a half baths is available May 1, 2015. Preferably no animals but one mature cat with good references and $25 per month pet rent may be considered. It is a non-smoking unit. It is occupied and is shown by advance appointment only. The monthly rent is $1875, discounted to $1800.00 per month for helping to perform minor maintenance and to coordinate maintenance, if needed. The security deposit is $2200. Both one month's rent and the security deposit are due when the lease is signed.
This lovely town home is very well maintained, as is the entire nine-unit complex.
Location: 420 Dela Vina Ave, off Fremont in Monterey, just one block from InShape Gym that has a pool and work out equipment; shops nearby; only 2 miles to Naval Postgrad School; short walk to running trails around the entire Monterey Bay. Gardening care included in common areas, including a lovely garden/reflection area. All power is electric, no gas. Electric baseboard heat is controlled room by room for efficiency and economy and the hot water heater is electric. The flooring is hardwood in living/dining and bedrooms; linoleum in baths and kitchen; and neutral Berber-type carpeting on the two stairways.
* First floor: entryway leading to a half bath, newly painted; interior access to attached one-car garage with automatic opener; very spacious storage room; laundry room with brand new top line front-loading washer/dryer (picture soon to be posted); small fenced private patio. Homeowner restrictions require NO storage in garage area that is for an auto only! If your goods cannot fit within the unit storage space, you must rent a space somewhere else.
* Second floor: living/dining room; modern kitchen with new electric stove with easy-clean glass top ; fan/microwave oven over stove; refrigerator; Maytag dishwasher; two small balconies for plants or outdoor furniture.
* Third floor: two bedrooms with tree views. This third floor is taller than adjacent buildings, so no one looks into the third floor windows. Reports from residents are that the bedrooms are VERY light and bright, with morning sunrises and evening sunsets! Double closets in both bedrooms (one BR is 8X10, one BR is 12X12); full bath, which was painted one year ago, with shower over tub; linen closet off hallway. One bedroom has shelves available for alcove. A KING BED WILL NOT FIT up the stairway to the third floor; however, twin beds, foam mattresses, bed platforms and mattresses from IKEA fit just fine. A queen bed is also possible if frame is not too bulky. We can suggest good movers for this complex and the design of these fine townhouses.
