My Notes

Absolutely lovely three story single family townhouse that is situated on a tree-lined townhouse street between First and York Avenues. This home has been in the same family for the past 40 years and has been lovingly maintained and restored over the years. All of the 19th Century period details are intact including the intricate moldings, the pocket doors and the elaborate marble mantle pieces. This home was custom renovated and has a dramatic layout as you enter the home, as a portion of the parlor floor was removed to create a very dramatic double height ceiling. A new owner can either choose to easily fill back in the parlor floor, bringing it back to its original layout, or live in it as is. Either way, the house is lovely. All of the major systems have been upgraded including a totally new heating/air conditioning system. Home faces south and is sun flooded most of the time. A glass enclosed solarium leads out onto a landscaped garden which is quiet and tranquil. Home is considerably under built so opportunity exists to add up one or two stories. Gas heated. CAC, 3 fireplaces with ornate original marble mantels. Delivered vacant.  More Less
