The apartment has 9 foot beamed ceilings, a stunning wood-burning fireplace with hand-carved marble mantle, custom-made built-in bookshelves and beautiful wood floors in fantastic condition. There is a large windowed kitchen which can easily be converted into an eat-in kitchen. The two split bedroom wings feature two good-sized windowed bathrooms, one en suite in the master bedroom. 430 East 57th Street is a true classic Sutton Place area gem. Zillow predicts New York home values will rise 2% next year, compared to a 0.8% rise for New York Metro as a whole. Among New York homes, this home is valued 210.1% more than the midpoint (median) home, and is valued 131.8% more per square foot.

Foreclosures will be a factor impacting home values in the next several years. In New York, the number of foreclosures waiting to be sold is 55.6% lower than in New York Metro, and 92.4% less than the national average. This lower local number could help New York home values rise more quickly than other regions in New York Metro.
