I own a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom on Baker Street about 200 feet from Green Lane that is available for rent right now.The interior of the house was redone in 2005 by the previous owner, so it feels modern inside, unlike a lot of the places in Manayunk. Since the last tenants moved, I took the opportunity to have the interior repainted top to bottom and new carpeting on all floors (kitchen and bathroom are tile). I also had a repair man go through and re-key the property and fix anything that wasn't perfect (like a loose railing, loose step to the basement). It's a great house and one I plan to own for a long time, so I want it to be in the best condition for you and for me.Some of my favorite things about this house are: - Walk out the door and in less than 5 minutes you can either be sitting down at Jake's Restaurant, Chabaa Thai Bistro, Han Dynasty, Laxmi's Indian Grille (list goes on) or on the R6 headed into the city: Temple (14 minutes), Market East, Suburban Station, 30th Street Station, University City (31 minutes). - Parking is easy and not even a block away. $65 a month to park in the lot at the corner of Green Lane and Main St. This is great for 3 reasons. 1) parking in Manayunk is really hard, especially when it snows. This lot gets patrolled, plowed and is a 3 minute walk to the house. 2) The lot is immediately after you get off the bridge from 76 into Manayunk. Easy access to and from 3) $65 is basically the cost of 1 parking ticket, which you will definitely get if you are trying to park on the streets in Manayunk every day. Houses up the hill don't have this. You fill out a form, they auto-bill and mail you a pass every month. - The big back deck. Perfect for parties, of which I had many when I lived here. I miss this back deck. - Lofted ceiling on the third floor. So many of the houses in Manayunk have a 2nd and a half floor, barely tall enough to stand up in. This house has a vaulted third floor ceiling with nice exposed beam accents in the master bedroom. - Washer and dryer in the basement (unfinished, good for storage).I'm an up front kind of guy, and I'd rather you go into looking at the house knowing everything, so here's what you'll find: - The 3rd bedroom is smaller than the other 2. Previous renters always used it as a bedroom, but it won't fit a king (or would, but wall to wall). Perfect for a third person that wants to pay a little less rent, a kid's room, or I used it as an office. It's by no means a closet, and it's got the same vaulted ceilings and a great window with a view from the 3rd floor. I used to check traffic on 76 from this window before heading out so I could decide which route to take if I was running late.That's it. I love this house and think you will too. 

What I love about the home

Recently updated 3 bedroom within a few seconds of the R6 Rail (Colleges on the line: Bryn Mawr, Temple, many more). 15 minutes to Center City Philadelphia by car or R6 Rail. The R6 runs behind the house, but is separated by rows of trees, so you never know it is running. A minute walk to Main Street Manayunk and all of the great restaurants, bars, venues, but without any of the noise.
