My Notes

Unique estate home near UCR. Views in all directions (inside Box Springs Preserve), this property shares no lot lines with neighbors. Completely fenced with a solar-powered drive gate, it is private and secure, yet only 1.8 miles to the University of California Riverside's new medical school. On a knoll, all west-facing windows have views for 20 miles. The daylight basement with 9' and 10' ceilings contains a complete theater (12' screen, HD digital projector), machine shop and large studio/workspace (1100 sq. feet of the 3,650 total). An 8 x 10' underground vault with fireproof door completes the basement. Two car garage with third carport, guest studio and drywalled storage building. Property has large rock formations, is fenced and cross fenced and is two separate half-acres (per county tax records) for one full acre total. (Zillow or Google maps show the second half acre north of the home site.) Currently the guest house with outbuildings sit on that half acre. All buildings are newly painted and termite inspection has been done.
Mature, drought-tolerant landscaping livestock facilities, organic gardens (raised beds and 48 x 36 fenced area, all organic). Hot tub overlooks the city lights. The upper floor bedrooms are large with cabin oak flooring. MBR has two closets. The main hallway is terrazzo and the home is a split level design--up to the bedrooms and down to the office or MIL space with a separate entrance and 3/4 bath); down to the theater and workshop/work spaces. What I love about the home

The view and the privacy, yet close to the University of Riverside and the new medical school. The deck off the master bedroom overlooks the Box Springs Preserve, which surrounds the one-acre parcel. Used brick in the fireplace/patio/facade construction from old Riverside buildings give this home a timeless and East Coast feel. Separate studio/guest house for caretaker, adult child or student renter, all completely INSIDE the Box Springs Preserve, with 8,500 acres of open space for riding or hiking as your back yard. The driveway is at the trail head. The rose garden is behind the white picket fence. The lovely garden patio outside the studio. Views to city lights at night or the Box Springs Mountain behind the home. Crepe myrtles in bloom with extensive drought tolerant native plants, granite rock lizards tame enough to hand feed (northern-most extent of their range ends on this property). Eighty-foot pine trees behind the house sigh with the wind--just like being in the mountains without the drive! Gorgeous city lights viewable from the above-ground Hot Springs spa. Walk out the gate to the trail head for Two Trees trail. Two separate deeded lots, one with main house, one with the guest house.
