My Notes

Edit
Don't miss out on this very spacious house in the heart of Bloomfield, just a block away from Children's Hospital and in walking distance to just about everything. This home is in move-in condition and yet a lot of house for the money. Despite close proximity to just about everything the home is located on a quiet street with two off-street parking spots which is a rarity in the area. This home works great for a young couple or a larger family.
Neighborhood Description
Old Pittsburgh at its best - the immediate neighbors on all sides have lived here most of their lives (one moved from "far away", about three blocks).

What I love about the home

We can walk to the grocery store, and are on the 54C, and 86B bus lines, which means you can get to most places in the city on one bus, and everywhere on two buses. 7 minutes to downtown, we watch the fireworks from the stadium out of our bedroom window - on July 4th, we can see probably ten fireworks displays without leaving our house. Far enough away from downtown to be in a nice, residential community where the kids play in the one-way street, like I did when I was growing up (though the number of minutes someone can lie down in the middle of the street before a car comes is shorter than what we used to do)

Market guide

Zillow predicts Pittsburgh home values will increase 3.7% next year, compared to a 3.3% rise for Pittsburgh Metro as a whole. Among Pittsburgh homes, this home is valued 10.9% more than the midpoint (median) home, but is valued 15.4% less per square foot.

Foreclosures will be a factor impacting home values in the next several years. In Pittsburgh, the number of foreclosures waiting to be sold is 85.1% greater than in Pittsburgh Metro, and 18.5% less than the national average. This higher local number may prevent Pittsburgh home values from rising as quickly as other regions in Pittsburgh Metro.
