It has already been paid by us, you will be taking over the lease for us, there are 9 months left with option to renew. The application fee costs $35 (for the background check).
There are 2 bedrooms available, 1 bathroom, hard wood floors, small deck, kitchen with stove/microwave/fridge etc. a washer/dryer combo, and a cute living room. There is an apartment below us and one above us, all of the other tenants in the house are friendly and quiet.
The apartment is within walking distance to Shaw and NoMa Metro stops, there are also several bus stops close by. The closest grocery stores are Harris Teeter and Giant (they are both within walking distance). There are several restaurants and take-out places nearby as well. There's also a nice farmer's market on Sundays right across the street.
Pets need to be approved by the landlord (sorry, no pitbulls) and they charge a 1 time fee of $500, though there's no monthly pet fee. This is a multi-level house, there's an apartment below us and above us, we live in the 2nd apt. in the house --the other tenants in the house are very friendly.
We are trying to find a couple people as soon as we can, we've had a couple back out. please let me know when you would like to come see the Apartment. After you email me I'll send you the exact address (it's on Florida Ave. NW, by 1st street NW).
