My Notes

Edit
Classic Colonial on 1 flat landscaped, fenced acre ideally located on a very quiet street just off sought-after Ponus Ridge in New Canaan. Surrounded by stone walls and conservation land, this up-to-date antique is full of charm and gracious living. All infrastructure is upgraded to 2007 standards. Highlights are 3 Fireplaces, an ensuite main floor master or guest bedroom, a 10x12 walk-in closet in the upstairs master. 2 additional 15x20 upstairs bedrooms share a jack-and-jill bath. Every bath is updated in classic pottery barn style. Enjoy a modern cherry kitchen with stainless appliances and incredible storage. French doors, oversized windows and a home office. 24x24 attached garage with fully finished bonus room above with 12 foot vaulted ceilings. Plumbing in place if you'd like to make this a 3d luxurious master suite, currently our music room. 5 zone oil heat with new insulation and new windows minimizes your energy costs. 300 sq. foot fieldstone patio off the rear of the house. Plenty of room for a court or pool.
Neighborhood Description
Our area of North Stamford is a very affluent neighborhood of executives, professionals and entertainment folks about 3.5 miles north of the Merritt Parkway. We are "twixt the ridges", nestled between High Ridge in Stamford and Ponus Ridge in New Canaan. North Stamford (ZIP code 06903) has been nationally ranked as one of the wealthiest areas in the United States, and has the highest average household income rate in Fairfield County, surpassing areas of extremely weatlthy towns such as New Canaan and Greenwich. Pound Ridge is 1 mile north, and New Canaan is 800 feet east, with Stamford proper about 7 miles south. Midtown NYC is 55 minutes by train. Our neighbors are lawyers, realtors, sports and entertainment professionals and bankers. North Stamford has very low taxes compared to neighboring towns. Elementary and Middle Schools in the Public System are excellent -- we also have many friends here to balance the driving between work, home and the many many choices of private schools in the area. There is very little turnover in this neighborhood, with most of our neighbors in place for 10 years and more.

What I love about the home

Light, spacious, inviting and warm... the surrounding garden views, the sense of privacy, the 4 mins to Starbucks in New Canaan, leisurely walks past beautiful homes, the friendly neighbors.
