My Notes

This is a solid, classic home with really good bones. We have recently finished major renovations including a brand new kitchen, new floors, new master bedroom and bathroom with the works, new water heater and air conditioning. We are only selling due to a relocation.At $749 this house is already a bargain. Can't get anything like this in East Highland Park for this price. All the work was done by Z Construction (biggest builder of new homes in Highland Park) -- used only the best materials and everything is still under warranty (that's how new it really is!!)
Neighborhood Description
This is the best neighborhood in Highland Park. Truly EAST Highland Park. Don't be fooled by realtors that tell you houses west of Green Bay are in East Highland park...they aren't. We are at one of the main places to enter the Green Bay Trail (Beech and St. John's). Down the street from Lake Michigan. In the Ravinia school district. Next to a park. .5 miles to Ravina train station. 1 mile to Highland Park train station and downtown. You can truly walk to everything. It is a great neighborhood for young and old...a real mix of ages with young kids, high schoolers, and empty nesters. The people next door and across the street are great and have lived there for a long time. They take care of their houses too, which is nice.

What I love about the home

Everything. Needed to re-locate to East coast. Wouldn't be selling otherwise. Invested lots of time and money to make this house beautiful. Woodwork and built-ins are amazing. The "library" off of the family room has a built-in floor to ceiling book case. Fireplace works and is great all winter. Kept the old charm but updated everything. New kitchen, new bathrooms, new toilets, new water heater, new A/C, many new windows, new floors and newly finished floors, surround sound, new pipes, new electric, new recessed lighting, new everything -- JUST COMPLETED in May of 2007 -- all the work is still under warranty!!! If you like Restoration Hardware you will love this house...all the paint and fixtures (and most of the furniture) is from RH. If you want a bargain in East Highland Park / Ravinia this is it. You are going to love this house (hopefully as much as we do).
