487 Cougar is in an easily overlooked and very private neighborhood nestled just behind the dramatic Flatirons. All told, it's an eight mile drive up and, with familiarity, typically takes twenty minutes to get into town. Seven of those miles are on the paved, high plow-priority Flagstaff Road and one mile is hardpack that is plowed quite early (by the county).
The elevation of the house is exactly 7200ft and its main view windows face primarily East and South with great views of Bear Mountain, South Boulder Peak and the Sacred Cliff climbing area. It?s a bright and sunny location with well spaced trees and mountain meadow ground-cover. The atmosphere is very quiet and serene. Here it's common that the loudest sound you?ll hear all day is woodpeckers claiming their territory.
The Walker Ranch and Meyer's Gulch biking and hiking trailheads are minutes away.
Neighborhood Description
Sunny and private with lovely views to the East of South Boulder Peak, Bear Peak, the Sacred Cliffs climbing area and Green Mountain. Mountain meadow ground cover and well-spaced trees are hardy and require little maintenance.
