My Notes

Edit
Beautifully remodeled 1920's home in the heart of downtown Montrose.
This house sits on a large corner lot. Strolling distance to restaurants, theatre, galleries, shops, banks, post office, grocery store and so much more. Large mature trees surround the property providing a large private, shaded yard and deck.
A major remodel was completed on this house in 2009. This multi-year craftsmen's project transformed this home into one of the few true gems in downtown Montrose.
This was NOT a surface remodel! The home was 100% gutted. It was lifted and support structures were added to the basement and roof in order to make sure it was structurally sound and the floors were all leveled. During this process many aspects of the home were rebuilt to insure a sound, long lasting and energy efficient home that kept its nearly 100 year old charm. All new electric, plumbing, insulation, furnace, ducting, A/C, sewer line, siding, 9 foot ceilings, doors, windows with great natural light, large pantry, walk in closet, honed granite countertops and hand milled trim and original refinished wood floors on main level along with the modern open floor plan and appliances make this home extremely comfortable and functional. There are too many features to list here.
The house was designed to have a separate lock-off 2 bedroom rental/mother-in-law apartment upstairs. It has a private outside stairwell entrance. This is a wonderful space with great light and its own deck. The design was well thought out so that it can remain as is and be rented to generate income or easily be converted to turn the house into a large single family home consisting of 4 bedrooms, an office and 2 1/2 baths. Upstairs and downstairs are on their own zones for heat and A/C. Upstairs is 750 sq. ft and downstairs is 1,300 sq. ft.
