What I love about the home

It was built by the founder of Los Altos, Paul Shoup: completed in November 1910. Paul became Vice-Chairman of Southern Pacific Railroads in the 1920s, and was even on the cover of Time Magazine. His son, Carl Sumner Shoup was instrumentation in setting up the financial and tax systems for Japan after World War II, at the request of General McArthur.
