The home was completely remodeled in 2010! The inside of the house was completely gutted to the studs. Most of the electrical wires and plumbing have been replaced. New sheetrock was put up throughout the house, new doors, windows, paint, and baseboards were added as well. The home now has wood flooring throughout the living room, kitchen, breakfast nook, and hallway. The kitchen was completely updated with new cabinets, counter tops, lighting fixtures, and new appliances (refrigerator, oven, microwave, dishwasher, sinks, faucets etc.). The two bathrooms have new tile floors and lighting fixtures and both bathrooms were updated with new cabinets and bath plumbing fixtures also (shower, sinks, toilets, faucets etc.). The three bedrooms have new carpet and ceiling fans. The laundry room has a tile floor. The house also has a new roof, re-decked and new shingles.
Neighborhood Description
Far enough outside of town to feel like you are in the country, but only a short drive to all the ammenities of the town. The home is located close enough to Duncan to attend all of the Duncan schools. Horace Mann and Mark Twain are the two closest elementary schools. However, it is also close enough to Empire schools if you want your children to attend a smaller school (note: the home is located within the bus route for Empire schools).
 
What I love about the home
The home has been completely remodeled with all the updates of a new home! The open floor plan makes the home very inviting. Entertaining is easy with the living room, kitchen, and dining area all open to each other. The dark hardwood floors throughout these rooms and hallway add to the clean and open feel of the space. The large brick fireplace makes a nice focal point as you walk into the house and gives the area a warm cozy feeling during the winter. The three bedrooms have new carpet and ceiling fans, and the closets have double doors with shelves on top and multiple rows for hanging clothing. The guest bathroom is completely new and located at the end of the hallway opposite the living room, dining area, and kitchen. This gives guests a clean and private place to go during their visit. The master bathroom has been updated with his and her sinks, a standing shower, and toilet area has a vent and door to separate it from the main part of the bathroom area. The large two car garage has enough room for storage with cabinets hanging on the back wall and closet space for storing boxes or lawn equipment. The attic, which can be accessed from the garage, has a decked area for storage as well. The fire place, new windows, new sheetrock, roof, and insulation in the walls and attic help reduce the electrical bill during the fall and winter months. The windmill generator outside also reduces the electrical bill throughout the entire year by averaging approximately $20 a month in cost savings. The house is located just outside the town, which gives the home owner the feeling of being in the country while still having quick access to the town. There is a large 30x40 metal shop with a steel frame, concrete foundation, two overhead doors, and passageway located behind the house. There is also a small shed behind the house and storm cellar. The property has approximately 3 acres fenced in with a metal horse stable, making it the perfect place to keep small farm animals.
