This grand estate is ideal for entertaining hundreds of black tie guests as well as for multifamily multigeneration living. Private country living on 1.73 acres in the heart of one of the most desirable subdivisions of Hillsborough, surrounded by other estates! No other house or street is visible from any room.
Curb Appeal & Entertaining: One of the most stunning entries in Hillsborough! From the moment you approach, you will be captivated by the regal motorized double gated entry framed by huge marble planters and an immense boundary wall. A pedestrian and a service gate add to the convenience. As the gates gently open you are transported into a private world of luxury. An enormous concrete front yard can accommodate two dozen cars. Beautiful landscaping includes a pink marble fountain and multistory tall trees. Gleaming lighting makes the outdoors suitable for an evening party of hundreds. The dinette has an invigorating view of the garden from the large window. The enormous great room/ family room has oak paneling throughout with coffered ceiling, a fabulous wet bar with built in refrigerator, marble gas fireplace, entertainment center, large windows, and a sliding door to the main patio. More than one hundred guests can have a formal sit down dinner while enjoying breathtaking bay views on the beautifully paved main patio. A party of up to 200 can be accommodated in the great room, living room, main patio, dining room, kitchen, and dinette. The bedroom suites can be closed off from the guests during such a party. If the pool area, game court, bedroom suites, and other areas are included, several hundred guests can be accommodated.
The 20 ft by 35 ft heated pool with motorized cover has surrounding concrete areas for a pool party of 50 guests. There are adjoining double showers, double vanities, and facilities. The surrounding landscaping, artwork, and the absence of wind ensure virtually year-round enjoyment. The fenced game court is the perfect place to unwind with friends and family. A large lower level wooden patio and lawn area provide peace and serenity.
Multifamily Multigeneration Living: There are seven large bedroom suites with full baths and walk-in closets. Two suites are on the main floor, two including the master suite are on the upper floor, two on the lower floor, and one in an independent wing of the upper floor. The main floor includes the front yard, an oversized three car garage with enormous storage areas, living room, great room, main patio, kitchen, dinette, laundry room, two bedroom suites and a four person dry sauna. Thus it is possible to live entirely on the main floor without ever using any of the three stairs. The lower level two bedroom suites have pool and garden views and can constitute independent one or two bedroom apartment with a sitting room. A wine cellar and storage areas are also on the lower level. Parts of the lower level can also be used as the pool house. The bedroom suite with a sitting room in the independent wing of the upper floor constitutes the second one bedroom apartment. The upper floor huge master suite has a patio and a convenient sitting area with a cozy marble gas fireplace. The master bath has double hot tub, double vanity, double shower, and double walk in closet. The other bedroom suite on the upper floor also has a sliding door to the patio. The Bay views from both these suites are breathtaking.
 

What I love about the home

We love its central location and the fact that it is suitable for entertaining hundreds of black tie guests as well as for multifamily multigeneration living. We also love the breathtaking Bay views. For a gathering, sleeping and staying arrangement for 50 persons can be made in the house. Large double pane windows and many sunlights keep every room brightly sunlit and airy. Numerous exquisite chandeliers and myriad recessed lights keep every room glowing at night. Built on solid rock, massive amounts of concrete everywhere make this property seismically safe. There are no landslide or flooding problems. This area is sunny and not windy. The estate was extensively renovated recently. There are comprehensive security and gate control systems. There is central gas fired heating and air conditioning, and a central vacuum. Every room has intercom with music, phone, and internet connections. Walk to Crocker Middle School & Hillsborough North Primary School. Hillsborough schools are among the highest rated in the nation. Highways 280 & 101 and El Camino Real are minutes away. Extensive shopping is within a couple of miles. San Francisco international airport, BART & Caltrain stations are within a few miles. Short commutes to San Francisco, San Jose, and East Bay.
