This beautiful older home in the heart of historic Sans Souci is within walking distance to Cherrydale shopping, the new greenway, and elementary school. Bike or drive 5-10minutes to downtown Greenville or Paris Mtn. The house has a large open floor plan with dining room and updated eat in kitchen connected to living room that allows for easy entertaining and great light throughout the day. Spacious master suite with bath, large second bedroom, and smaller third room that makes a great guest room or office to serve the whole family. Entire house recently updated with new fixtures, molding, and built-ins. Original 1940?s hardwoods in most rooms and new tile in bathrooms. Parents can get away in the finished 270 sq. ft. upstairs area that makes a great second office, child?s playroom, baby room, or hobby room. House has plenty of storage with an additional 250+ sq ft of storage upstairs as well as a fully functional ?man cave? or workshop outbuilding with cable and electric already installed. This home sits on a .40 acre corner lot with recent landscaping. Enjoy your tea from the shaded tree swing or covered porch, or have company over and grill out in the fenced backyard with large oaks and flowering dogwoods. This was a labor of love and the pride shows.
Neighborhood Description
Sans Souci is the former estate of the first post war governor in SC, William Perry. The original 200+ estate was subdivided around the turn of the century with most homes being built there between 1930 and 1950 for workers in the old Union Bleachery and Poe Mills. This was one of Greenville's first street car suburbs. A new historic marker was recently placed three doors down from our house and a historic district here is in the works. We absolutely love the area. This is history and convenience all at a much more affordable price than N Main or Cleveland Park. Cherrydale shopping has all the conveniences you need while downtown is just a couple miles away. The new greenway will run two blocks from this house. Paris Mountain is only 5 minutes away and Cherrydale elementary is just a few blocks away.

What I love about the home

We work downtown and absolutely love the convenience of a 5 minute commute. Sans Souci is an up and coming place with all the charm of an old neighborhood and the convenience of shopping, parks, and schools in walking distance. We are in the best part of this neighborhood. Everyone is friendly and the only neighbor across the street is a large picturesque 4 acre historic estate. This is a great house in an affordable neighborhood. We love walking in the door after a long days work, walking the dogs on the quiet streets, and entertaining family and friends.
