Huge downtown home at an incredible price. This Queen Anne home is offered more than $100,000 less than the Zillow estimate (zestimate). It is positioned ideally at the top of the hill Fort George/Palafox but enjoys the quiet of being back one block from Palafox. It could use a remodel of the kitchen and bathrooms but it's not required for someone who would like to move right in to a comfortable home full of remarkable classic features. Across the street from EDS Preschool. Queen Anne home includes exquisitely carved fireplace mantels,massive crystal chandelier, curly pine door frames, stained and beveled glass, heart of pine staircase (there is a 2nd indoor staircase at the back of the house) Privacy fenced backyard. The property is significantly perched above the surrounding street (corner lot) and partially ringed in historic Welsh granite dating from the 1700's. This lot is directly on top of the historic Ft George and contains arguably the most important historic oak known as the Jackson oak and visited annually by recognized historic tour who estimate the tree's age at 700 years and is reputed as the location for one of Andrew Jackson's most important treaty signings.

What I love about the home

Location, size, high ceilings, exquisite fireplace mantels and other features make living downtown a roomy luxury rather than a cramped condo which would cost just as much. This home is just up the street and in easy walking distance to the vibrant city scene offered by downtown Pensacola. It is also filled with and surrounded by a dramatic and lengthy history.
