This house has three bedrooms, 1 1/2 bathrooms, a den, and a large sun porch. It also has central air conditioning, hardwood floors on the first and second stories, and a washer and dryer. The house is located on a 0.11 acre lot in the Cheltenham Village neighborhood of Cheltenham Township, PA. There's easy access to Center City Philadelphia via the R8 train (the station is a 10 minute walk away). The house is in a very walkable area: a park, tennis courts, a public library/community center, the post office, and a good deli are all within a few blocks.
This is not the perfect house. Specifically, it needs work, mainly cosmetic. Also, there is no parking on the lot, and the nearest on-street parking is one block away. However, this house is much cheaper that any other house in the neighborhood. The next cheapest house currently on the market in this neighborhood is listed at $159,900. If you're a little bit handy and willing to build up some "sweat equity," this is a great opportunity for a first-time buyer to get a house in the Cheltenham Township School District for a really nice price.
