My Notes

Established Southpoint neighborhood in the middle of one of the highest growth areas of the triangle. The community of Huntington Ridge is perfectly placed to take advantage of the best in shopping, dining, and lifestyle amenities this area has to offer. The southern part of Durham is a hugely popular modern suburb located along Interstate 40 and just north of Jordan Lake. With instant access to the American Tobacco Trail and the The Streets at Southpoint (one of the nation?s top super-regional malls), it would be difficult to get bored living in Huntington Ridge. Of course, you might rather just stay in your new beautiful home? Aside from the location in the Triangle, Huntington Ridge offers a wonderful lifestyle. The HOA maintains a gorgeous swim club and playground area. The topography is fairly hilly and the developer wisely kept a lot of the nicer forested areas. Additionally, curb appeal is enhanced by the mature and well manicured landscape. Huntington Ridge is a very close knit community with a very active HOA and a private social network (nextdoor.com). All in all its difficult to find a more pleasant and safe neighborhood in the south Durham area. 521 Hunting Chase One of the more beautiful homes in Huntington Ridge, 521 Hunting Chase has a welcoming presence that you will notice the moment you approach the front door. Entering the foyer, to your left is a study, with a window nook that looks out over the shady front yard. To the right of the staircase, you will see the living room which boasts plenty of space to host a party. The living room flows into the dining room, accented with attractive column details, and an impressive trey ceiling. The gleaming hardwoods are an impressive upgrade throughout the first floor. The rear living spaces include the kitchen and roomy great room. Designed and used by a professional chef, the kitchen has a double oven and an island with a vegetable sink - large enough for all of your food prep. The glass-tile backsplash and custom casework make this space an awesome spot to practice your entertaining skills, as your guests hang out in the cozy breakfast room. The great room is huge and has a vaulted ceiling, custom inlaid hardwoods, a gas fireplace, and built-in speaker system for immersive surround-sound movie viewing. This truly is the entertainment hot spot. Equally as impressive are the outdoor living spaces. There is a huge deck right off of the breakfast nook, that is large enough for two separate living spaces - a large picnic table area, and a pergola covering a private lounge. There is a large paver-stone patio with a covered eating area next to the grill. The back yard has been terraced with stone hardscape elements and landscaped to enhance privacy. The upstairs layout is efficient and generous. With four bedrooms and a bonus room, there are a lot of options. The master suite is truly a retreat for the owners. Large and open, it has a vaulted ceiling and a spectacular bathroom that would rival the finest modern spa. The doorless glass shower has custom Italian tiles and high end chrome fixtures. The rest of the bathroom is impressive, with 12? x 24? subway floor tile, dual bowl sinks, vaulted ceiling - this room should qualify to be your new happy place. The other bedrooms are not quite as impressive, but spacious enough with great closet space plenty of light, and colorful accents. And lastly, the upstairs living space in the bonus room is a fantastic amenity that is large enough for just about all of your imagination. The home was constructed with a lot of additional detailing, including crown molding, and upgraded frieze carpet. There are tons of non-sexy upgrades in this home as well. There is a central vacuum with triple filtration system, natural gas water heater in the garage, shelves and cabinets in the utility room, garage shelving, low-maintenance brick and cement fiberboard siding, and energy efficient insulation and windows.  More Less
