Description
This is a nice home, suitable for a large family. It was built back in the days when things were built to last. The quality of the foundation and structure is excellent! To build a new home that is made with such long lasting value would easily cost more than what the market value would have you think.
It can also be easily converted into a duplex rental, if that should be more in line with your goals. The main things that would need to be done is to have a kitchen put in downstairs and a laundry facility put in upstairs, along with separate meters. This would end up with 3 bedrooms, 1 bath plus laundry facility on site for both an upstairs and downstairs unit to rent. The attic is ready for expansion as well, if additional space is desired for the upstairs area. 
What I love about the home
I love that the home is built with solid construction and it has been well maintained (and continues to be). The cedar siding is very attractive. It has a nice large yard to work with, where I have planted several different types of fruit trees and bushes, thus emulating Portland's urban farming motif. It is a very comfortable home with all the space that it has. I have many intentions of continuing to improve on the property and I keep working on various projects in that regard. It only continues to get better and better!

The nearby homes that have sold recently are nowhere as large as my home. The comparison value between what has sold does not reflect well. From what I can tell, the value of my home would be somewhere around $400,000 currently (as of Dec 2013).
