This really is a beautiful neighborhood in the middle of a city. The Garden Alameda is a short walk to neighborhood coffee, shops and restaurants. My personal favorite walk is to walk past 5 Color Cowboy hair salon and say hi to my stylist Leti, continue past Thee Nee Thai where I love to get food to go, say hi to my friend Sovan at Or Diamond - a great place to find gifts for your significant other, go past some very nice shops for furniture, clothing, green design and then stop at Pete's coffee for a medium roast and a scone.
When I walk back I will cross the street, say hi to my friend Helen at Alameda dry cleaners on my way home.
A short bike ride get's you over to the Municipal Rose Garden, Guadalupe Gardens part of Guadalupe River Park or the Roscrucian Egyptian Museum and Panitarium.
The schools are close by and have been doing very well lately becoming art magnates.
