Neighborhood Description
From the neighborhood we can walk to the river (4 blocks) or drive to Carytown in 3 minutes or downtown in 8 minutes. We have wonderful views of the Carillon and City from Riverside Drive. A shallow creek feeding the James runs behind the house. The lot slopes in the back yard and we have not done any hardscaping yet -- ready for your green thumb! Great neighbors. Each home is custom-built by R.E. Collier, providing diversity in size and character. Most are based on Southern Living custom home plans. Neighbors are friendly and community-minded. We are part of the Westover Hills Neighborhood Association and receive a newsletter and opportunities for civic engagement. This is one of the few cul-de-sac streets in the City of Richmond! Our kids are in/going to college, so we plan to downsize by building a smaller home in the same neighborhood with the same builder. Within 2 miles we have Lowes, Target, Walmart, Ukrop's and Food Lion
Zillow's estimate seems steep. The home next door was the builder's home and would be comparable. It sold for $699k in 2008.

What I love about the home

We love the character and the entertaining and storage space of this home. Transoms throughout. High ceilings. Living room with double french doors leading to screened porch. Closets galore. 2nd fl. laundry room. The screened porch off the master feels like being in a treehouse. 2.5-car garage.
