Enjoy the beautiful view from the front porch swing of this lovely century-old farmhouse. The light-filled house has a southern exposure with wood floors throughout, large windows and period light fixtures. Living room with woodstove, formal dining room; eat in kitchen with O?Keefe and Merit stove, bathroom with claw foot tub, three bedrooms (with old growth redwood floors) and an additional den or office. The property is only a 7-minute drive to either Eureka or Arcata on a dead end road with minimal traffic.
New forced air heater, on-demand water heater, 200 amp electrical, poured perimeter foundation, (crawl space dust dry), architectural asphalt roof, and recently updated water system and plumbing.
Separate 30x21 garage/workshop with upgraded 220 outlets, good lighting, toilet and storage loft. Tired old redwood barn (18x26), garden shed.

What I love about the home

More than half of the 3 acres is sunny, flat land that has been lovingly cared for land with a fenced organic garden and mature fruit trees including 12 apple trees, 25 blueberry bushes, 4 plums, 2 pear, 2 figs, kiwi, 2 hazelnuts, huckleberries, raspberries, hops, artichokes and blackberries. Perennial gardens with roses, wisteria, lilacs, hydrangea, and a kitchen herb garden off the large new flagstone patio. The other half of land is beautiful redwood and fir forest on the back north hillside so it does not shade the orchard or house. Lots of room for critters and a small chicken coop and paved dog kennel. If you are a rider, a horse stable with riding trails and arena are 5-minute walk down the road.
