My Notes

Edit
Guthrie-Coke Building, originally built in 1885 in the Renaissance Revival style, is a new downtown commercial/residential development, part of the Clay Commons Master Plan at Fourth and Chestnut Streets. The building houses a major commercial tenant plus downtown apartments that emphasize the historic elements of the building. The building house 16 residential units as well as retail tenants. Clay Commons, developed around the renovated Henry Clay Building, the Wright-Taylor Building, the Guthrie Coke Building, and future hotel site at 4th and Chestnut, provides a unique urban experience at the heart of the Theater and Arts District on the southern edge of downtown Louisville. These properties currently offer residential condominiums and apartments, a theater, and catered event spaces with grand ballrooms restored to their original stunning beauty. A new 330-space parking structure supports the events and visitors to the Fourth Street corridor. A planned boutique hotel will complete the corner presence and the activity center atmosphere, offering a unique overnight location for event guests and downtown patrons. The Clay Commons Master Plan was conceived by CITY Properties Group during the renovation feasibility study for the Henry Clay building to take advantage of the building's location and the potential for a mini convention center. The district will continue to evolve with new features as the additional spaces are built or renovated.  More Less

    Market guide

Zillow predicts 40202 home values will rise 0% next year, compared to a 1.7% increase for Louisville as a whole. Among 40202 homes, this home is valued 26.7% less than the midpoint (median) home, but is valued 49.4% more per square foot.

Foreclosures will be a factor impacting home values in the next several years. In 40202, the number of foreclosures waiting to be sold is 150% higher than in Louisville, and 90.5% less than the national average. This higher local number may prevent 40202 home values from rising as quickly as other regions in Louisville.
