My Notes

Edit
Picturesque bungalow w/ lots of charm and character, gorgeous fir floors, picture frame moldings, high ceilings, original trim, sunny kitchen, formal dining rm w/ French Drs to great decking, spacious master bedrm, unfin basement, newer hi-efficiency gas furnace and sewer line and a walk score of 75. One of the best for the price. Dont miss out on a fantastic investment opportunity!

What I love about the home

Cozy home perfect for a professional couple. Close to Trimet bus line 14 which goes down Hawthorne to downtown soon to be replaced by street car following the same route. Also close to Portland's best Russian and Vietnamese restaurants and minutes walking distance from trendy local watering holes and fine cuisine. The deck is wonderful for entertaining and for coffee and breakfast in the morning. Also, since it opens up with a double French style door to the formal dining room, there is a lovely flow from kitchen to dining room to deck. Attic master bedroom is cozy and defined by the architectural feature of the vaulted, peaked roof. Everyone who visits loves this house. Perfect as a home or as commercial space. It just so-happens to be on land zoned commercial so the possibilities are boundless of what can be done with this property. House is located in PDC Renewal Area so buyer is eligible for grant money. Neighborhood: Foster-Powell

Zillow predicts Foster-Powell home values will increase 5.4% next year, compared to a 4.7% rise for Portland as a whole. Among Foster-Powell homes, this home is valued 19.5% more than the midpoint (median) home, but is valued 29.9% less per square foot.

Foreclosures will be a factor impacting home values in the next several years. In Foster-Powell, the number of foreclosures waiting to be sold is 77.8% greater than in Portland, and 39% lower than the national average. This higher local number may prevent Foster-Powell home values from rising as quickly as other regions in Portland.
