Walking distance to Elementary, Middle and High Schools with IB, honors, and scholars academy programs ranked best in State. Neighborhood Description
Quiet, old middle Miami Beach neighborhood surrounded by waterfront mansions and a mix of deco and mediteranian homes, mostly renovated. Short walking distance (ten minutes leisurely) to famous Miami Beach Boardwalk and beaches. Beautiful parks for children and for dog walking, shaded by hundred year old banyon trees, large mix of Churches, orthodox and reform Jewish synagogues, with a commercial district on 41st street which includes some of Miami's best restaurants along with hardware stores. New art deco Publix supermarket five minutes away. Connected to Miami and I-95 by the Julia Tuttle Causeway, making Miami, only five minutes away, Miami International Airport only eight minutes away, and North Miami/Aventura only 20 minutes without traffic. Mid Beach retains its old world charm with pine trees planted a hundred years ago, while still within walking or biking distance to world famous South Beach and the Art Deco district. Lots of parks, virtually crime-free with strong neighborhood associations but without onerous City rules which plague places like Coral Gables. Schools are some of the best in Miami with gifted programs, IB programs, and honors programs, including the Miami Beach High Scholar's Academy. No need to send your children to private schools here. Small town feel with a big city at your fingertips only a causeway away.
 

What I love about the home

Totally modern home, maintaining original 1924 style with fireplace and high ceiling livingroom over-looking pool, with fountain, lined with 50-foot royal palms. Lots of rooms, gorgeous hard wood floors of solid red oak, luxury lighting and multi-room stereo, intercom with 5 telephone lines.
