An extensive, permitted renovation was completed on this historic farmhouse in 2012. It was opened that July as a vacation rental catering to family gatherings for reunions, to attend weddings, or just to enjoy the beauty and many recreational opportunities of the Hood River Valley. Impressive first year earnings and over 80% occupancy this summer are a great start to an outstanding business opportunity. This property also lends itself well to the possibility of a B&B or hostel, having an area that can easily be made private while still leaving four individually keyed bedrooms for rent. Neighborhood Description
Mt. Hood is on the "fruit loop" in the beautiful Hood River Valley, at the intersection of Hwy 35 and 281, or Cooper Spur Road. There is the Town Hall, The Mt. Hood Country Store, a café, and a few small retail businesses. It is two miles to Parkdale, where you will find an excellent grocery store, a brew pup, a museum, and several restaurants.
 

What I love about the home

Great layout, feels much larger than actual square footage and only two bedrooms share a common wall. Mt. Hood view from the new porch, privacy fencing or landscaping all around. Still has a country farmhouse feel, but gained comfort improvements like heat cable under the bathroom tile and exhaust fans on timers.
