The year was 1912 and the cottage at 69 Taylor Drive was brand new. Fairfax boasted a bustling downtown and cars were quickly replacing horses. Quaint hardware stores and corner grocery stores were a reality. Neighborhoods were tightly knit and the lifestyle was simple and relaxed. The opportunity to recapture that charm of a bygone era still exists today, nearly a hundred years later. Gone are the hayfields, dairy ranches and vineyards, but the sense of community remains. Own a piece of Fairfax history and this andquot;turnkeyandquot; home sweet home. This head to toe remodel retains a great deal of character that is hard to find. Details true to its vintage include wainscotting, solid panel doors, gleaming fir floors. Add to that numerous structural, electrical and plumbing upgrades. Historic and hip! Look forward to reaping the harvest from the several fruit trees in the spacious, sunny and private backyard. There is still room for your imagination... a dry basement for storage, a workshop or perhaps an ideal wine cellar...a side patio that could be suitable for a hammock hang out or convenient bike storage.  More Less
