The home was designed for maximum natural light and ventilation. Over 50 thermal pane windows and 10 glass block windows; combination of double hung, awning and fixed windows. (The awning windows can be left open during inclement weather and you don?t have to worry about rain getting in.) Zoned HVAC system with brand new high efficiency heat pump, furnace, air cleaner, and humidifier. All plumbing fixtures, throughout the home, were replaced within the last year with water sense, EPA approved fixtures.
Exterior is stained 10 inch cedar siding and trim, brick at lower level, architectural grade - high albedo - 30 year asphalt shingles. Four panel wood doors throughout and lots or wood trim. 6? baseboards and crown moldings on main level, with 9 foot ceiling height. Oak flooring on main level and carpet on 2nd floor. Sheet vinyl and carpet on fully finished lower level.
Neighborhood Description
The home is in a 110 house village-like development, with the back yard abutting about 200 acres of never-will-be-built woodland. There?s a small creek that starts from an underground spring located just behind the property - the kids find salamanders and crayfish, camp, play and ride their dirt bikes throughout these woods.
Woodland Farms is just off the Red Belt in Pine Township. Pine-Richland School District is excellent and currently has graduating classes of about 400 students. We are 22 miles from downtown Pittsburgh and less than 3 miles to Rt. 79, the PA turnpike, Wexford shopping, Cranberry shopping, Route 228 shopping, North Park, and pretty much any store or amenity you can think of.
 

What I love about the home

Inviting front porch with yellow porch swing, heavy wood front door with pressed glass sidelights and arched transom. Two operable skylights in living room (25?-4? x 24?) and late1800?s quarter-sawn oak mantel, full glass door to rear deck. Back yard is approximately 200 acres of beautiful, undisturbed, never-will-be-built woodland. Kitchen family room combo - great for young children and family gathering. All kitchen appliances are one year old, Jenn-Air, stainless steel. The flooring in the kitchen/family room, as well as the adjoining laundry/powder room is navy blue solid rubber. Easy on the feet and easy to clean. A full glass door leads to the rear deck that?s partially covered with a colorful striped awning, with expansive private view. The office is 14?x11?8, has a storage closet, built in shelving and 2? wood venetian blinds. Since it can be accessed from the front hall or the back hallway, it works well for a home business. First floor master bed room is 13?x 17?-10? with a tray ceiling . The master on-suite has vaulted ceiling and skylight, Jacuzzi tub, and brushed nickel fixtures. The smallest upstairs bedroom is 13?-6 x 11?. The next bedroom is 11?x 18?-6 with an 11? wide closet. Next is the year old upstairs bathroom with vaulted ceiling, solid surface double vanity, arched ceiling recessed tub with rain head shower, and brushed nickel fixtures. The next door leads to bedroom 4 and 5 ? a large (460 sq ft) two room suite with shared dressing room/closet alcove, vaulted ceilings, and many use options. The lower level has eco friendly, easy to clean, wood-grain sheet vinyl. There are two single car garages, a work/hobby room, the pool kitchen, a full bath, the outside patio, and a large (585 sq ft) game room. Also lots of storage space.
