Kitchen completely renovated in 2000 with real maple cabinets, granite counter-tops, new dishwasher(s), stove, oven, disposal, and deep stainless steel sink. This is a small kitchen, but new layout is exceptionally ergonometric and functional.

What I love about the home

French doors open from living room onto back enclosed patio - great for entertaining in the evening; Covered carport in the back has entrance to unit through back enclosed patio (Unit also has garage with door opener); Three minute walk to Harry's Cafe (since the 60s) for great breakfasts; Five minute walk to two great "full-on" grocery stores; ten minutes walk to La Jolla Cove (to the north) or to Marine Street beach (to the west); All of La Jolla Village restaurants and shopping is within walking distance; Running path along the old trolly line stretches for several miles to the south; It is rare to live in Southern California and not need a car - its possible here. No cooling necessary given almost daily marine layer in La Jolla, but ceiling fans and window fan are all you need in the cool evenings of summer. Utility bills for this place are very low in summer (< $20) and winter (< $50). Water is paid out of HOA fee.
