My Notes

Edit
Great unit, with private entrance, private bedroom, and private bathroom. House is in a quiet neighborhood, close to a huge park and a public library. Only a block away from two express bus lines downtown (S-9, 79). Only 15 min. walk to Takoma Metro Station. We are a friendly family and work hard to keep a open, honest renting relationship. I studied anthropology in college, and work for a non-profit health organization. My wife graduated college with a Theater Arts degree, and has long experience in community service. Together, we are raising three wonderful children. We are sub-letting a fully finished basement unit, with tile floors and painted walls. The washer-dryer and common area are shared with us. The bathroom is private, with a shower, toilet, sink and mirror. The large room is private, as well, with built in shelving along one wall. A microwave, mini-fridge, table, chairs and television are all included, or you could bring your own.Wi-fi internet, cable television, and phone service are all available. You pay the monthly bill if you want access. You also pay 1/3 of utilities each month, such as gas, electric, and water.Rent for this sub-lease is $850 a month. Discounts for people working for non-profits or in public service-- we want to appreciate the good work you do. Our current renter is moving out to care for sick family members. He is definitely out by March 1st. If he decides to leave sooner, the room may be available before then. Please contact us if you are interested. We would love to get to know you, and answer any questions you have. Hope to see you soon!  More Less

Market guide

Zillow predicts Takoma home values will decrease 0.5% next year, compared to a 1.1% increase for Washington as a whole. Among Takoma homes, this home is valued 26.7% less than the midpoint (median) home, and is valued 19.5% less per square foot.

Foreclosures will be a factor impacting home values in the next several years. In Takoma, the number of foreclosures waiting to be sold is 9.2% lower than in Washington, and 22.9% less than the national average. This lower local number could help Takoma home values rise more quickly than other regions in Washington.
