What I love about the home
The entire house was built to an extremely high standard. It's been beautifully cared for over the years and has retained the beautiful period details that are so highly prized: original leaded windows; top nailed hardwood floors in beautiful condition; original woodwork in living/dining room--never painted over; beautiful fireplace tile. Very livable floorplan with plenty of storage and room for expansion. Many major updates have been completed in the past 10 years: Oil tank decomissioned and house converted to Natural Gas for heat/hot water/cooking; New electrical service and wiring; new plumbing throughout; new windows in main floor bedrooms; Kitchen remodeled with high-end appliances, eco-friendly countertops, custom cabinets; newly remodeled bathroom that combines beautiful original details with new high-end fixtures/finishes. The Mt. Fuji cherry tree in the front yard is spectacular in full bloom. Love the walkability--and how QUIET the neighborhood is! You can hardly hear the freeway, unusual when it's ~5 blocks west. Incredibly convenient location--my commute to downtown Seattle takes 12 minutes via the Express Lane entrance which is 2 minutes away. Extremely strong Neighborhood Watch.
