Built in 1962, by Harold Durham, the residence was designed by William Bain and Harrison Overturf of Seattle. You will appreciate the high quality, beginning with the brass door handles inlaid with lapis, incredible detail, a thoughtful floor plan, with an abundance of natural light. The architects took full advantage of views, with great care in creating a comfortable home mindful of California indoor and outdoor living. The lumber was brought from Seattle and is true dimensional 2 by 6's, and the living room features clear walnut paneling. There is also a breakfast room, and plenty of storage, including a silver closet with shelves and drawers lined with tarnish preventative cloth.The large entertaining patio, open to the kitchen and family rooms, overlooks the back yard and views beyond. It includes a covered portion, with a built in bar-b-que with a copper hood, and a massive stone fireplace. The aggregate patio wraps around a beautiful shade tree in the center, with built-in circular seating. The living room and dining room are situated to the front of the house boasting magnificent mountain views. Hardwood floors in both rooms compliment the clear walnut paneling. The living room features a marble surround on the fireplace, high ceilings, walls of glass, and sliding doors to the front patio. The dining room also opens to the patio and includes a built in walnut buffet.The bedroom wing, located to the left of the entry hall, includes three family bedrooms, with two full baths in addition to the master bedroom suite. You will enjoy plenty of storage in this area, with large closets in the bedrooms, and several closets along the hallway including a walk in closet. The master bedroom sits at the end of the hallway overlooking the private back yard. It is generous in size, and includes a den, two dressing rooms and full bath. Both the master bedroom and den open to the back patio.On the opposite end of the home, is a one bedroom guest suite, with kitchenette and full bath.
