The historic Stone House, originally a farm building from Pasadena's rancho era in the early 1800's, was converted to a charming Craftsman cottage in 1927 by noted architects Marston and Maybury who added a 2nd story. Rob Tyler AIA w/ contractor Scott Lightfoot, Lightfoot Studios, Inc., landscaper Howard Oshiyama and designer George McDavitt completely refreshed the original structure in 2006 enhancing the rustic charm but adding modern amenities and utilizing the finest materials. A spacious living room w/ fireplace and French doors to the front garden has a handsome river rock wall. The dining room also w/ river rock, is spacious. A state of the art kitchen and a paneled wet bar are adjacent. A guest bath completes the 1st level. A stairway near the entry leads up to the master and 2nd bedroom, each w/ its own bath. The laundry is upstairs. This stylish pied-a-terre has been meticulously maintained by the current owners who have not lived on the property, using it instead as a study retreat.  More Less
