Lovely home is ideal setting for a quite afternoon, as the property sits at the foot of a lake at the end of a cul de sac! The back yard is perfect for entertaining, or simply catching the breeze with a good book. Home includes real wood floors, updated granite breakfast bar, updated stove and microwave, bathroom sink fixtures, & has built-in book shelves and entertainment center. Shed stays! What I love about the home
We were so taken with the setting and features of this home while house hunting that we put in a full price offer shortly after looking at it. We knew other buyers were considering it --it was fresh on the market--and had features we just weren't finding in others available. Since moving in, we're so glad we acted fast because we've grown to love it even more and feel like we got a bargain on it. We've enjoyed updating, in and out since then. The whole house has a retreat-like feel, looking out onto a quiet little cove of the small lake a short distance away on green space available to us as well for fishing, walks, etc. Instead of tall fences in back with other homes there, this home has nature's beauty there. Every day through our back windows we see ducks landing on the cove, great blue and white herons, and song birds which love the feeders if we put them out for them. In the summer the butterflies and hummingbirds come to the easy-care flower beds we added in front and back. The sunrise on the lake is often stunning. The front and back yards are easy to care for, with a fenced back yard. The green space is mowed and cared for by the homeowner's association (with very modest dues). The inside of the house is roomy and practical, split floor plan, with large master bedroom and bath and walk-in closet. One of the additional two bedrooms also has a walk in closet. The area is great, on cul-de-sac, close to Santa Fe High, near dining, shopping, doctor's offices. On the down side, our work means that we've had to move frequently. We bought this home knowing that our time in Oklahoma is short, and anticipate having to move again the summer or fall of 2014, so putting this house on the market at that time. We like to buy builders' former homes when we can, because of their locations and features; this is one of those homes. Wish we could take it with us.
