Can't decide between living in suburban tranquility and living close to restaurants, bars, and the temptation to drop a month's rent for a scarf at Nordstrom?This rental is a ten-minute walk to the center of Old Main Street in downtown Bellevue. Yet you won't see many cars pass by, as you'll be in the third house from the end of a quiet(*) dead-end street. The walk to Old Main Street doesn't even pass by a traffic light!Does too much calm make you anxious?No worries. Take your car out of the garage and in a few minutes you can find yourself on I-90, 520, or I-405. Highly recommended if being surrounded by trees, local plants, and other calming influences is preventing you from getting in the right mood to practice your anger-management exercises.Want to live in a TARDIS?While, from the outside, our 1200 square foot house may look small enough to carry down to Main Street with you, you may find your guests predictably asking you whether the 3BR/1.75BA house is larger on the inside. Take them out back and they'll see that the wood deck is almost as big as the rest of the house and it features built-in benches. In the off-chance that a few drops of rain interfere with our year-round sun, a large section of deck has a roof featuring brilliant 1950's technology that allows light to pass through the deck's roof but magically remains impervious to water.The living room features wood floors, a fireplace, large windows in front, and French doors to the deck in back. While the kitchen is bright, clean, and features modern appliances, the landlords have overcome these impediments to cook bland and suspiciously-textured meals there. Pets or pet free? This rental's allegiances in the pet wars are in your handsWhile our rental has previously been pet free, it is thinking of switching sides. It's structure and interior understand that it's pet-free status offers an allure to those with allergies, yet the plants in the fenced-in back yard yearn to be naturally fertilized. The fencing around the back yard makes it a great home for pets that crave the outdoors. Counseling is available for pets that don't crave the outdoors, with fully-recovered patients receiving REI memberships.Please ignore the following paragraph as our lawyers required us to include itRenting our home may expose you to nearby Chism Beach park (which is near a large body of dihydrogen monoxide, AKA H2O), Wildwood park (known to contain a large number of dangerously tall plans known by the locals as trees), and Downtown Bellevue park (the site of a turf war between Montessori preschoolers and a gang that call themselves the Waldorfs).As any investment adviser will tell you, the fact that the schools (Enatai, Chinook, Bellevue High) have won awards in the past is no guarantee of future performance. While Microsoft's Bellevue office is within walking distance, some residents who had thought they'd identified safe routes to work have reported being accosted by recruiters from nearby Expedia, Google (Kirkland), and T-Mobile.While duration and other terms are negotiable, the landlords already have two kids and reject all liens on first-born children (or, for that matter, children anywhere else in the birth order). Rather, we suggest that you negotiate under the assumption that only truly desperate would-be landlords would put this much time into an advertisement.

The short walk to Old Main Street. The tranquility of a dead-end street and fenced-in back yard. The covered deck.
